Pisang :
- Pilihlah yang bentuk pisangnya bulat.
- Hindari bagian batangnya yang sudah terlalu kering.
Mangga :
- Bonggolnya (ujung tangkainya) berwarna kuning/kekuningan.
- bau harum sampai ke ujung buah
Semangka/Melon :
- Jika dipukul terdengar buk..buk… (tidak kopong)
- Untuk melon pilihlah yang wangi.
- Perhatikan bagian patahan tangkainya, pilih yang bulatan tangkainya kelihatan mekar.
- Melon baik biasanya guratan uratnya banyak dan tebal.
- Pilih melon yang terasa bijinya seolah sudah terlepas saat buah digoncang
Alpukat :
- Kocok-kocok alpukat, pilih yg berbunyi, tandanya sudah matang.
- Kulitnya yang sudah matang biasanya hijau mulus.
Duku :
- Kulitnya tipis, lembut dan agak hitam
Manggis :
- Pilih yang kulitnya lembut dan tidak begitu keras bila ditekan.
- Warnanya ungu tua segar. Raba seluruh permukaan, jika ada yang masih keras tandanya bagian tersebut belum matang atu busuk.
- Tangkainya utuh dan hijau segar.
- Cemplungkan manggis ke dalam air. Bila terapung tandanya manggis tersebut bagus.
Pepaya :
- Bentuknya lurus atau panjang. Jangan pilih yang atasnya kecil bawahnya besar atau sebaliknya.
Apel :
- Ketuk atau selentik buahnya dengan ajri tangan, jika bunyinya nyaring maka apel tersebut renyah dan banyak airnya. Jika bunyinya berat, maka apel itu sudah tidak renyah lagi atau airnya kering.
Jeruk :
- Warnanya benar-benar kuning bukan kuning terang
- Kuitnya tipis dan mengkilat.
Sawo :
-Pilihlah yang sudah berwarna coklat tua.
- Jangan di pilih kalau di kulitnya masih menempel bekas getah.
Durian :
- Durinya yang melebar dan daging durinya sudah agak lunak.
- Aromanya yang harum dan kuat, kulitnya tdk ada yg bolong
- Kalau dipukul2 bunyinya buk ..buk…berat mantap
- Potong tangkainya, kalau tengahnya kuning berarti bagus.
